From Figma Variables to a Mobile-First Web Application
Challenge
Turning a design-system exercise into a product.
Rebezle started as a personal project inspired by home construction and interior design. I initially used it to explore Figma variables, Auto Layout, variants and design tokens. As the project developed, I moved beyond the design system to explore the product experience itself — from interface design and UX research to a mobile-first web application.
Solution
Designing and building for mobile first.
I developed a consistent design system for the interface and designed for smaller screens before adapting the experience to larger devices. I used competitive analysis, usability testing and user interviews to inform product decisions. I then built the responsive web application, taking the project beyond a design exercise into a functioning product.
Outcome
A live web application.
Rebezle is live, and I continue to fix bugs and refine the experience. The project now spans the full path from design-system exploration and UX research to interface design, implementation and deployment. It gave me practical experience taking a product from an initial design exercise to a working application.
