AI Experiment

Sisifussy is a family management app — and a testing ground for a different approach to product development. I'm exploring how AI-assisted workflows and code-based prototypes can keep user needs, design decisions and implementation more closely connected.

Challenge

Keeping user needs connected to implementation.

Functional prototypes make it possible to explore how a product behaves, but research, feedback, analytics, design decisions and development often remain disconnected. Insights can be lost as work moves between tools and people. I wanted to explore how these connections could be maintained throughout the product development process.

Testing introduces another challenge: feedback, usability issues and user needs need to remain traceable as a product evolves. I wanted to investigate whether AI could help connect these activities — from the initial problem statement through research and design to the implementation of a solution.

Solution

From design system to working application.

I started with a design system built in Cursor using static HTML and CSS, making interface exploration and iteration fast. With Sisifussy, I took the approach further by building a React application with a database, user authentication and working functionality.

The working application lets me explore ideas beyond static screens, including interface behaviour, interactions and real functionality. It also gives me a practical foundation for investigating how a prototype could support specifications, developer handover and ongoing collaboration rather than serving only as a temporary design artefact.

The next step is to connect user needs and usability insights more directly to design decisions and implementation. Integrated analytics, surveys, feedback and problem tracking remain areas to explore; they are part of the broader vision, not completed capabilities.

Outcome

A working foundation for further exploration.

Sisifussy has taken the experiment beyond static design screens into a working application. I can now explore how code-based prototyping brings interface design, interactions and functionality closer together.

The broader vision is still in progress. Research, integrated analytics, feedback collection and end-to-end problem tracking are not yet part of a complete, connected environment. The remaining challenge is to keep the original user problem visible as a product moves from discovery to implementation.

The central question remains: can a prototype become more than a demonstration of a future product — a shared environment where user needs, design decisions and implementation stay connected?

Sisifussy

Parenting can feel like pushing the same boulder uphill every day. The routines, reminders, negotiations and endless things that need doing never seem to stop. Sisifussy is a family management app inspired by this reality, designed to help families organise everyday life, work better as a team and raise children who become more capable and independent.

Challenge

Sharing the load of family life.

Family responsibilities can become a cycle of reminders, organising and follow-up, often leaving parents responsible for keeping everything moving. Sisifussy explores how a digital product could make everyday responsibilities easier to manage without adding another layer of administration.

Solution

Making responsibility a shared effort.

Sisifussy aims to make responsibilities and expectations more visible to the whole family. Instead of leaving parents to coordinate everything, it encourages children to take on age-appropriate tasks and gradually build independence. The goal is to support habits, responsibility and teamwork — not simply add another checklist to the parents' workload.

Outcome

A product built around family growth.

Sisifussy gives the experiment a concrete product and a meaningful user problem. Its ambition is to help families move from repeated reminders and parental oversight towards shared responsibility and growing independence. The app is a tool; the goal is to help the family become more capable of managing everyday life together.
